SSC CGL level Solution Set 11 Algebra 5 video part I

The five problems with a few difficult ones are solved in mind using special concepts and techniques explained with precision and details. Important concepts used are property of sum of inverses, inversion technique, focus on how to use given value, collection of like terms, three variable sum of cubes expansion, and mathematical reasoning. Solution of two large problems seemed to be time taking, but with analytical strategic approach both are solved just in a few steps. The Concepts and Techniques form the BASIC SKILLSET for solving harder algebra problems EASILY IN MIND...

SSC CGL Algebra solving quickly 13, A novel approach

We have solved an apparently unsolvable problem in this 13th video session on SSC CGL level Algebra problem solving in a few steps. We could find no way to transform the given expression to get the value of the target expression, nor could we evaluate the values of three variables directly from the given expression. As these two main approaches by which most competitive algebra problems are solved failed, we had to resort to a novel method using trial of choice values against target expression for feasibility and then verification of the values thus obtained from the given expression. We have worked backwards. Finally, the solution was quick and satisfactory and it taught us a few new things about how to solve problems. The concepts and methods should prove valuable in addition, for SSC CGL Tier II, CAT or GMAT where algebra is a topic...

Method based solution to Einstein's logic analysis puzzle, Whose fish

thumb_Whose fish puzzle solution

The problem involves one to one unique assignment between six sets of entities each of five members. The assignments and the answer should result in by analyzing 15 logic conditions. This is a quite well developed logic analysis puzzle with challenges. This classic puzzle is attributed to no less a person than Einstein...
